Thirty-two data protection supervisory authorities from across Europe are participating in the joint inquiry. The Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman will investigate the situation in Finland through an anonymous survey of data controllers.

    28.2.2024 | On 28 February, the European Data Protection Board launched a joint measure examining how the data subjects' right of access to their data is being realised in the operations of various organisations. A total of 28 data protection authorities from various EU Member States are taking part in the study. In Finland, the situation is charted with a questionnaire for controllers.

  4. The Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman launches an investigation into the use of cloud-based services in the public sector as a part of a coordinated action of European supervisory authorities | Data Protection Ombudsman’s Office

    15.2.2022 | The Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman will participate in a coordinated enforcement action of the European Data Protection Board along with 22 other supervisory authorities. The purpose of the action is to investigate use of cloud-based services in the public sector. The action of the EDPB was launched on 15 February.

    1.6.2023 | Apulaistietosuojavaltuutettu on tehnyt oikaisun 27. huhtikuuta annettuun päätökseen, jossa Ilmatieteen laitoksen todettiin siirtäneen henkilötietoja lainvastaisesti Yhdysvaltoihin Googlen palveluiden kautta. Ilmatieteen laitokselle annettu huomautus yleisen tietosuoja-asetuksen 35 artiklan mukaista vaikutustenarviointia koskevasta rikkomuksesta on poistettu päätöksestä. Oikaistussa päätöksessä ei arvioida yleisen tietosuoja-asetuksen 35 artiklan noudattamista.

    1.6.2023 | Biträdande dataombudsmannen har gjort en rättelse i beslutet från den 27 april där Meteorologiska institutet konstaterades att olagligen ha överfört personuppgifter till USA genom Googles tjänster. Anmärkningen till Meteorologiska institutet om att ha brutit mot artikel 35 i den allmänna dataskyddsförordningen om konsekvensbedömning har raderats från beslutet. I det korrigerade beslutet bedöms inte efterlevnaden av artikel 35 i den allmänna dataskyddsförordningen.
